I REALLY like the idea of bringing Comfort Animal without Charm Animal. Very innovative. It gives you all the benefits of healing and ressing your pet without the hassle of actually having a pet.

don't know about the rest of the build, but i would use more protection instead of pet. perhaps Antidote Signet in case of blind or deep wound etc.

Like he said, you cant bring pet with you in pvp without charm animal. Change comfort animal to antidote signet and you are fine. Also if you want utility you can change power shot to pin down.

This is what I use:
Glass Arrows
Point Blank
Zojuns Shot
D-shot
Lightning Reflexes
Antidote Signet
Conjure Flame
Res Signet
Carry a Firey Longbow (to counter the reduced range of PB-shot and Zojuns) and a 40/40 Fire set (for casting conjure to speed up the cooldown when it gets stripped).
Glass Arrows builds are most effective when you use Expertise based attacks. You buff Expertise all the way up, just carry enough in Marksmanship to meet the Q of your bow, and put the rest in Fire Magic.
It hits for 100-120 per shot for 2e.
Also, the cycle rate of a longbow comes close enough to matching Point Blank/Zojun's spamming to keep you from getting that little stutter between shots.
I know Zojun's is Factions, but its something to try after Santa visits.

inine, thanks i will use your advice. As for armor, what insignias/runes should i go for?
Sorry to sound noobish, but what does 40/40 fire set mean? Oh and is Longbow > Flatbow?

With this build, I like a longbow over a flat bow.
I use all Survivor's stuff because you dont need hardly any energy. You will regen energy faster than you can use it.
Runes and atts, I go with:
Expertise: 12+1+3
Marksmanship: 8+1
Fire Magic: Remainder
40/40 set is a weapon and offhand combo that gove you 40%-1/2 casting time and 40%-1/2 recharge.
BTW, I linked to this off the main page and didn't realize it was in the PvE forum. I use it for PvP. I don't PvE, but I imagine it would still work and you will probably hit harder than 120.

Wait, you mean that this works for PvE too?
Ok, i understood the part about the 40/40 but Longbows are twohanded. I mean, i could do 20/20..
Oh, and is it that good since the only fire spell i have is Conjure Flame..

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/40/40
"Creation of a 40/40 set requires an inscribable Wand of the desired attribute, and an inscribable Focus of the same attribute, and four upgrade components. The wand requires attachment of a perfect "Aptitude not Attitude" inscription and a perfect Wand Wrapping of Memory. The Focus requires a perfect "Forget me Not" inscription and a perfect Focus Core of Aptitude."
This can be rather expensive though. Many greens have these stats and are much cheaper.
It's a wand and a focus, not a longbow

Your bow should be a recurve.

Its actually whatever you like better. Try them out and use the one you like best.
Recurve is better for interrupting because it has the shortest flight time.
The added range of a longbow is more beneficial for Point Blank/Zojun's spamming. It has medium flight time and medium cycle rate.
If the range isn't an issue for you, the Hornbow will give you a little more damage, but it cycles a little slower.
Flatbow has the longest filght time, but cycles the fastest (same as the Shortbow)
Shortbow shoots at the same rate as the Flatbow with less filght time, but has the shortest range.
And use the 40/40 set for casting Conjure then swap back to your bow. That way, when it gets stripped, you hopefully won't have to wait a full 60 seconds to get it back up.

the type of bow depends on the build, in this case, yes a longbow is best, but in many other cases it won't be the ideal bow. It's best to have a range of bows and find the one that is best for the build you're running

Well, it seems that the build is fine. I only have 2 questions left:
1. Is a Fiery 15^50 Longbow of Fortitude good in this case?
2. Does this build work for PvE too?

Carry a +15٨50 and a +20٧50. Fortitude is fine.
I don't play PvE, but it could, especially with some mods. Res sig inst a favored PvE skill, I don't think.

I believe that Comfort Pet keeps the pet with you in PvE, so maybe it could work instead of Res Signet? Or Maybe i could use Sloth Hunter's Shot

Vamp mod + Brutal Weapon is another option depending on your environment. It does a bit more damage, isn't strippable, but costs a bit more energy, and can be screwed up by a monk tossing vig spirits or a thoughtless weapon spammer. Meta dependent but something to keep in mind.

How anyone is seriously suggesting longbow for general use in any build. It has awful firing rate. Just learn to position yourself little bit better and use recurve for general spamming. Longbow is only good when your target is away from your recurve range and you need to get that shot in now. If you spike with attacks that have activation time, hornbow is ok there because of inherent armor piercing but that is even worse in general use than longbow. When playing ranger, learn to weapon swap and get lots of bows.
